The Bak kut the taste is totally different from Malaysia to be honest, I should say it’s not the same thing, we can’t compare between both dishes from different country, both has its unique flavor and taste.
I personally love the Bak kut teh with strong pepper flavor from Singapore than the one with herbs flavor in Malaysia.
The dishes was not bad, stir fried vegetable was flavorful and tasty. The pork trotter was abit salty though.
We went here on a weekday but the queue was about 20min and it also took another 30mins to have the food ready.
However, the soup was taseful and pork rib was really big. Highly recommend
Food here was great (had bkt from Song Fa the day before, my msg-sensitive-palates were slaughtered.). It maybe slightly more expensive than those chained stores, but i guess its what costs them for them to use the right cooking method and ingredients. Bkt was good, veggie was good, the braised beancurd was good - i asked for half a portion and now regretted it. Service was good - very attentive and accommodating!
Took my friend to this place which my other friend recommended. It is hidden under this big tower. The soup is very peppery with the rib taste. I had Mian xian. Simple meal but really quite filling. Next time need to ask to reduce the Mian xian. Pork ribs are tender.
This place has been my go-to spot for bah kuh teh for several years, and I still love it. It’s one of the best in Singapore, in my opinion. The service is quick and there’s no waiting queue. You should definitely try it out.
Very close to songfa (which is often crowded) and if you like pepper kind of BKT then this is one you can consider. I personally like the taste and the meat is tender and tasty. I also want suggest you try their other awesome dishes like sesame oil chicken and also pig trotter. Really nice as well.
But one big plus is their 5-star service as the staff automatically goes around topping up soup for you without you asking. In addition, we ordered some dishes by mistake (our fault) and they actually returned the order we don’t want and replace them with the correct ones right away. Really appreciate this and our overseas colleagues really love it :)
One of the famous places to enjoy Bak Kut Teh, the meat tastes super great as it is soft and tasty, while the rice noodle also comes with the soup. Long lines outside during lunchtime as there are a lot of people having lunch breaks from offices around that area. I will say the soup has too much white pepper for me, but I guess this is the feature of it.
I had experience at both SongFa and this place. I would recommend you to come and experience here:
1. Not crowed like Songfa, u will have table and comfortable atmosphere for eating experience
2. The food Bak Kut Yeh is also as good as Songfa.
3. Location is in the centre
4. The price is reasonable, u can see the menu & bill5
The place is rooted many years of operation since opening.
